I am trying to research 2 patterns with the intention of purchasing either it if I can find the information I need from other members who have sewn them (very important aspect of the site). For the record the patterns are 5/2010 Tiered Maxi Dress #113 & 5/2010 Tiered Mini Dress #114 and I can’t find the link on either of the pattern pages to show ALL of the member projects based on these patterns. I happen to know there are lots of projects (I could swear I saw a page full of projects based on one or the other just yesterday) but for the life of me I can’t fint them now. The search feature doesn’t work…..
Ah-hah! I just stumbled on into the projects page for the mini dress in this way: I searched for using the entire name of the pattern (5/2010 Tiered Mini Dress #114) and got nothing (which is crazy… the pattern should atleast show up). I removed the #114 and found the pattern PROJECT page which still has the tab at the top for all the projects based on this project.
I think there is a fundamental site architecture issue here. ALL projects based on burdastyle patterns should be searchable via the pattern page. Projects should be linked to burda patterns, not to burda projects. It is not enough to see only the three most recent projects based on a pattern, and the search feature is almost entirely useless (except that I did manage to find the patterns burdastyle project page using it).
maybe you could look online =)
