I used to get double notifications, I have now had about 8 seperate email notifications about the ‘Long Jersey Cardigan’
Is this bug being fixed?

I think this is getting worse. I got an email 2 days ago with 3 notifications in it, the same email got sent to me yesterday and then I got another email today with the same 3 notifications times 3! A bit spammy guys.

Yes, I have reported the issue. I’m not sure why it keeps doing this but it is like it loops the information over and over. Hopefully the techs will be able to solve this issue soon. Thanks for your patience!

After coming home yesterday to over 30 burdastyle emails all telling me the same thing I have changed my notification settings. Would be really grateful if someone could let me know when this bug is fixed so I can turn my email settings back on without being deluged.

Good idea, I deleted about 25 emails today myself, I think I’ll take your advice and turn off my email settings then hopefully when it’s all fixed we can turn them back on again.

They are aware of the problem. I too am getting the same notifications over and over again. One thing you can do is go to your profile and under your account, click on your “Notification settings” and turn them off until the problem is fixed like candyjoyce has done. I or someone from the team will let you know when you can turn them back on. Hope this helps!

I’m getting multiples of email notifications of multiple reiterations of the same entry on my activity page… And the Activity button keeps being reactivated and telling me I have many new activities, when all there is is the same ones over and over again, mostly from Burdastyle rather than from members. I’m turning off the notifications, and I hope I can turn off the blog and other Burdastyle activies, as I don’t follow them particularly anyway, through lack of time.

I can’t even see what my activity is now. I logged on to see 27 activity but get an error message when I click on it.. Same if I try to go to my profile, I can see other peoples’ profiles fine though.

Keep the notification turned off for now, as it is still not fixed. Sorry, but they are working on this bug.

Hello sweetskye,
When did you update your notifications? How much time did you wait in between? Sometimes, not always, it can take up to 24 hours for the changes occur. With that being said I will still take a look at it to see if I can help.

I’m getting double, triple and quadruple notifications in my activity. I’ve reported it many times in the last months (I think first time was mid-2010 or so) but nothing has happened.

I have the same troubles as ghainskom, and for about the same period of time too. Recently, I’ve been receiving ~30-50 activity notifications per day (thank goodness I disabled the email notifications a few months ago!)
Sorry to harp on about this, but this has been happening intermittently for months and months now…
