Hi!
I’ve been trying to purchase a pattern for the past few days and I keep having the same problem, despite trying different browsers and different computers. When I go to my cart, I put in all my address and cc info, but when I hit submit it reloads the same page and deletes my info without telling me if I made a mistake or anything that would prevent me from advancing! I don’t know what’s going on but I’ve bought many patterns from this site before without this problem so please fix it bc I’d love to get started on my project!!

I have had similar problems – I put in all my cc numbers correctly 3 times and it keeps saying that I need 3 numbers for the ccv, which I have put in correctly 3 times. I’m unable to purchase patterns.

And no one must care since there is no answer for your problem here. I am having trouble getting a free pattern and so far no response to my e-mails.

Hello patnel55,
I am looking into your account now and see that two different patterns were delivered to your Purchase History 2 days ago. Please check your e-mail for a step-by-step explanation on how to find your Purchase History and use your new patterns.

I also cannot purchase patterns. Just spoke to my bank and it’s because everytime I try to submit the card details it tries to put through a transaction of 0.00 on my card. This automatically flags as fraud on my card and the card is blocked from purchase. Very annoying as I really want to buy some patterns. I got them to unblock it recently to buy some but have decided not to bother this time as it just adds a fraud warning to the card and causes a lot of hassle. Maybe that’s why yours aren’t going through either?

Hi Dawngirl,
I apologize for the frustration you experienced when purchasing from BurdaStyle.com.
In order to verify a credit card our payment provider, Braintree, has to send a request to the card issuing bank. This initial verification request is made by attempting a transaction for $0.00, sent with all submitted card information. This is a method recommended by Visa because it prevents a verification charge from appearing on a customer’s credit statement (before eventually falling off). If a bank prohibits a $0.00 transaction from clearing the system they will notify Braintree. At this time Braintree will attempt to verify the card a second time with a test transaction amount of $1.00.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.
Best,
BSS

Hi tothepointe,
An AVS error is triggered when the address information submitted (particularly the zip code) does not match what the card issuing bank has on file.
If you are confident the address submitted is correct, please contact your card issuing bank for more information.
I apologize for this frustration.
Best,
BSS
