Burda Style For people who sew

Hi Burda,

HELP, still no change! My comments are still not showing up. Only when I add a new topic here in the discussion section can I actually get a message to show up after I’ve pressed ‘add comment’. In all other cases, after I’ve pressed ‘add comment’ button, the page will reload and will shift to the top of the page. If I scroll down, the reply / comment / wall message that I’ve just posted (or so I thought) is not there.
What is wrong? I am getting a bit desperate.
Can you please fix this? Or is there anything I can do?

  Hello Susanne.

  Would you mind provide us certain information?

  What Operating System are you using?

  What Browser and version?

  In case of being Internet Explorer, can you see a warning or yellow sign on the status bar of the browser window?

  If so, please click on it and include the error information being displayed there.

  We need that information to be able to replicate your environment.

  Also, as a test, can you change your status in your profile? Rolling over the pen you can enter something else and hit save

  Please let us know.

  Thank you and apologize the issues you’re suffering, we would do our best to find a solution to it.

  Hello LuisLavena, I doubt that I will be able to send a reply in this thread, but maybe I am lucky…..

  To answer your questions: What Operating System are you using? - I am using Windows XP professional

  What Browser and version? - Internet Explorer version 7

  In case of being Internet Explorer, can you see a warning or yellow sign on the status bar of the browser window? - There is no yellow bar, but I do have a symbol saying ‘Error on Page’

  If so, please click on it and include the error information being displayed there. - Line 105, Char 237, Error ‘0’ is null or not an object, Code: 0

  Also, as a test, can you change your status in your profile? Rolling over the pen you can enter something else and hit save - Did that and it worked.

    Found it!

    Somehow the comment was marked by the system as spam!

    I’m going to report this issue to the developers so they can plan fixes for them in the upcoming days.

  Wow, that’s weird. I can see on her profile that she posted comments but when I go to the projects or threads, her comments don’t show.

  I guess most of us have had posts disappear recently, from the BS-betasite. And I must add, only here. Can anyone explain how this is happening? I am marking comments with a “This is a Question” tick; it gets me zip! Team, things look to be falling apart. Asking Zora for information she cannot send is ignoring the basic trouble; what’s more important, you’re not giving her the help she asked for. Respectfully, but frustrated, Nehmah

    Hello nehmah,

    Apologizes if you think we are not giving enough attention to the community, we are doing what is humanly possible.

    Sometimes is really hard to reproduce these issues in a way we can track the faulty code or conflict that is generating them.

    If BurdaStyle was only a Forum, we would have one type of problem to take care of.

    If BurdaStyle was only a Pattern catalog, we would only had to deal with shopping and purchase issues.

    But BurdaStyle is more than that. There are lot of interconnected parts that integrate.

    Here or on the previous website.

    I feel like people complains about these problems like something new, but I remember in the old website lot of threads about these issues or even more.

    We are following those issues and trying to fix them as soon as is possible.

  I’m experiencing the exact same problem. None of my comments show up. I can see them in my profile under activities, but they do not show up on the creations’s pages. And I know a few others have the same problem, because sometimes I get email notifications telling me that someone wrote me a comment, but the comment is not on the page. I have to go to the member’s profile page in order to read the comment.

  I’m using Firefox 3.0 on Vista by the way.

  Hi all… This just happened to me, well not to my post but i noticed on my activity page that someone had replied to a topic i’d posted on the discussion board & then when i went into the discussion board to read it… it wasn’t there!?! so i went back to my activity page & tried to access the comment by clicking on the notification but again nothing happened!?!

  Does anyone have an update to this problem?

  It was my reply to Heidi that was missing, same thing on my activit page you can just see the first line but nothing shows on the board, very frustrating.
