I have my “Activity I’m following” page without refreshed for some days now. I know there were activities that should have shown up to the list, including the activity I’d better to respond, but it doesn’t look anything happening to me on the page. Is “the activity I’m following” page updated immediately and always after the activity happens? If my problem is from a bug, please let it be fixed, thank you!

oh I’m sorry Oona, I thought I checked the word of “actvity” before I posted, to avoid redundancy, but I must have made a mistake. I’m still trying to get used to the new site, but when it’s not working properly things are getting more difficult…

Hey Girls,
I have a insight on this, and the issue is related that you girls do a lot of things on the website for it to keep up! :-)
Now more seriously, we have a queue of workers that automatically process all the activities and deliver those to each member activity feed.
Over the last days that queue is keep getting larger and thus, jobs start backing up.
We have a series of fixes for this that are going to resolve it. Please hold until we can roll those changes with others to restore the delivery process.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that we are taking care of it :-)

I’ve been noticing this problem as well. A lot of my recent activity isn’t recent at all, but more than a few days old. Is this going to be automated in the future? As a manual job it isn’t a very efficient feature.

We couldn’t hire Willy Wonka’s Oompa Loompas, so we end implemented this in an automated way.
Commented here before, there are lot of activity and the workers needs to be tuned to keep up with all the things everybody does :-)
As BurdaStyle mentioned over the newsletter, today we are going to deploy a series of fixes that are going to improve the perception of realtime you see over there.
Cheers.

as long as you tried to hire the original oompas, and not those tim burton cylon replicants…

Yes, always original and we offered a good pay and dental plan.
Still seems they like chocolate ;-)
