Hello fellow sewers of the world! I wanted to be a part of a sewing club here in Columbus, and since there was none, I figured what the heck and have started one. It is still in the infancy stages, but here are the details thus far:
Meeting Location: Lazelle Woods Recreation Center
8140 Sancus Blvd
Westerville, OH 43081
Meeting times: 1st & 3rd Saturday beginning Sept 19 from 11 AM – 1 PM (we could go to weekly if the group deems it)
Cost: $0
The first meeting will be a meet and greet, so no need to bring your machines, but rather come with some good ideas from the group. I hope to do a little bit of “show and tell”, group projects, and a lot of inspirational exchange of techniques and ideas. All levels of sewers are welcome!
I look forward to seeing you all there!
Shaunda

David - Thanks for the blog post. Is it possible to get an enlarged graphic of the club badge? I would like to have it reproduced in a much larger size. Thanks!

Our first meeting went well and with all being novice sewers we are going to work on a group project (charlie bag) at our next meeting. If you missed the group, please join us on October 3rd.

Our group is small so we may change our location at the end of the month. If you are interested in joining us this weekend, please come to the Rec center. This week we will work on an apron and will draft a basic bodice. See you there!

Aw, I grew up in Delaware, Ohio and lived in Columbus for five years! I kind of wish I were back there, now!

Maybe you can find the answer at the BSC site: http://burdastyleclubs.ning.com/ or go to one of the club members wall and ask there. Hope you get the answers you are looking for. Happy sewing!
