I’m actually starting to sew now. I teach myself over the Internet. I have an old Singer sewing machine only sews a straight stitch. Would love to get recommendations on free online video tutorials how to sew and how to create drawings for sewing.

Hi Topaz, There are a lot of great videos for techniques contributed here on BurdaStyle of course. The Learning tab and then select the Videos tab.

Hello Topaz, I would recommend getting a nice comprehensive sewing book. A couple I would recommend would be The Vogue Sewing Book (quite affordable in vintage copies on amazon) or the Reader’s Digest Complete Guide to Sewing.
