Go to the pattern store. Click on the category you would like to search. You’ll see a box to tick for free patterns.

Just looking as of August 2014— it appears ALL the free patterns are gone. What used to be free now costs 99 cents. I remember the good old days (ummm… 3 years ago?) when there was a ton of free stuff on this supposedly “open source” sewing website. Now it’s just a commercial site for the burdastyle company. Well, it was fun while it lasted.

I’m glad I downloaded a bunch before that happen, if I had known ahead of time, I would have downloaded everyone of them…

If it was a commercial site like the German or Russian sites, then I could deal with it, but almost everything here is done so half heartedly (except for Meg’s posts). It’s just super generic.
It’s such a drag bc Burda makes beautiful patterns & I love the magazine.
The fact that they’re charging for the old free patterns is ridiculous. They should have just started charging for new ones going forward from August or September.

Last month my daughter (who is learning to sew) printed some free patterns. I went to reprint them but they are now gone. Where are the free patterns?

BurdaStyle has will soon stop offering free patterns, but for now you can get them by going to the “pattern store” (link on the top banner) and clicking the “free patterns” box on the little menu bar above the patterns pictures.

Does all this mean that members have to charge for their pattern uploads now? Will we have a choice as to the price?

Hi, this price change does not affect member uploads.
