This is the first gown I ever made for myself. I wore it last Saturday at my friend's wedding. The gown was a blast, one of the bridesmaids even asked me where I bought it because she wanted a white version of it to be her wedding dress. She was surprised when I told her that it was me who made the dress.
The gown has a matching long sleeves jacket with standing collar.

Sublime, I love this cut
I can see why your friend was surprised :) Maybe you should sew her wedding dress!
Wow, that dress is stunning! Especially with the Swarovski necklace.
Fabulous! You are very talented and you look just lovely in your creation!
Hi elainemay, i just did simple basting to attach the necklace to the gown, and yes he is my husband:)
Hi, that is a lovely dress with the beading trim. I recently discovered a place in London with such trimmings and bought some samples but i have not been able to attach it, you would be able to show me the ropes, would you? thanks. P.S its inspiring
The beaded necklace goes perfectly with the simple fitted cut. Fabulous!
Beautiful!
Gorgeous and rich.
Hi Shiela - adore your dress. A tip I have discovered for myself, if horizontal bust dart is too evident front on, especially in shiny non print fabrics, don't sew in dart, but gather it or pleat it at seam side instead. It gives the look of a fuller bust as well.
i absolutely love it! congratulations on being the featured member!
