Description

Free Yohji Yamamoto pattern from Showstudio.com. I actually made this in one weekend. Of course, I didn't do anything else!

Since I added a lining I made a pleat instead of a dart in the silk.

Materials

Grey wool double knit, Purple silk satin lining. 1.25 yards each.

great colour choices! I absolutely love my version of this coat, and I wear it all the time, both rightside up and upside down (I'm not even sure which is which). It's such a fabulous pattern once you get your head around the weird pattern pieces!

    Crazy about sewing!

I have this pattern for a long time in my computer! And every time I see one more here, I have feelings to do one too! But never do!! So! I'm jealous of yours!!

Hi! I've been thinking about this pattern for a long time too... but I only have a wool fabric that's not a knit.. do you think it'll also work with a non stretch fabric? I love what you've done! beautiful colors. also I would be very very thankful if you could post a how to about the way you did it and the lining.

thanks a lot! and good luck (and sorry if my English is not the best)

Lala86 - my jacket is done in wool, actually! You really don't need a stretch at all, in fact, I was surprised when I saw so many great knit versions of this online as I was always thinking wovens from the start!
