For my homework, I was required to make an A-line dress with the following: Collarless & sleeveless, U/ V neckline with facing, Biased tape/ binded armholes, shoulder & bust darts, zipper element and finished hems. Hence I created a simple dress made from silk faille and the wrong side of some crinkled satin. I made the top part a shade of nude for a visual trickery, making the wearer look like she's only wearing a corsetted dress. I eventually used the wrong side of the satin for it's muted sheen, and gave the dress two side seam pockets. The dress has a slight pod like silhouette at the bottom because it was bias binded. With back pleats and bias taped armholes, it's quite my latest obsession now!
