I made this dress few years ago. I gained some weight from then, so it's a bit tight now. The dress was inspired with Spain and Spanish culture (I planned my trip to Spain at the moment I sewn the dress). I drafted the pattern myself. The skirt part is constructed out of two rectangles that are gathered at top stitches.

I love the apron style neck and its neatly constructed shape. The 4 different parts are sewing lessons in their own rights. It is a great idea to construct garments that way and it really suits you.
