My first go at a full pattern... this took me FOREVER (at least 6 solid hours), but all in all, I think it went well and I am pretty happy with the outcome. Each step was definitely a learning process. This was the only fabric I had enough of to do this, and it was a little challenging being the thick, texturey weave that it is. Seems like drapery? Next round (if there is one) I would like to use a stretchy wool. I really did like the use of wool in the original presentation of this burda pattern. Found those wool knee highs at a thrift store this week. They are radical!

How cute! I love the matching wool socks, and the texture in the fabric will make it perfect for winter wear. Where did you find the fabric?
you look beautiful in it! great job for your first time with a pattern. and there is a next round ;)! very very pretty!
this looks great! and it fits perfectly- it sounds like this pattern isn't the easiest to fit for some folks. maybe i'm slow with sewing, but six hours doesn't strike me as very much for a project like this... it probably just means you did a quality job and didn't skimp on the workmanship :) and installing a zipper for the first time isn't exactly intuitive either! great job!
super cute! agree with elainemay, 6 hrs doesn't sound that much to me either espcially for a 1st pattern project. well done!
Drop Dead Gorgeous!
This looks great on you. It's really well fitted too.
