Red and white retro dress

Description

I sewed this dress of old mattress fabric, but it was too thin so I used plain cotton fabric with it as a lining. I used some old patterns as a starting point and then altered them quite a lot. I'm not sure but I may add some tulle to the hem.

Materials

Thrifted cotton.

Waow, I can't believe it is mattress fabric! Isn't quite fragile texture, hence the cotton lining?it looks super. Congrats!

Yeah well I actually sewed the cotton fabric and that mattress fabric together, as one fabric you know. And for the upper bodice part I also used that special fabric (with glue in it) that makes the fabric harder.
