Description

The m-sewing dress pattern http://m-sewing.com/patterns-catalog/women/dresses/dress-5433.html (free of charge!!!). The moment I saw the pattern I became obsessed with the dress. I used M size, but had to alter it in order to make it better fitting. I added front darts, and added darts on the back, in the neckline area, since the dress wasn't standing close to my back and neck. The purple trim isn't actually piping - I used really narrow band and top-stitched it to the dress blocks. I made a small fault here, since these bands I used are rather thick and firm, while the white cotton is light and thin - that made the bulky effect. But, some ironing fixed that. However, I recommend using narrow satin bands instead. Also, I added lining because the white cotton is rather transparent. I used really thin white cotton for the lining. All in all, I think this is a really good pattern and I will definitely use it again.

LAST EDIT: I got several messages with questions regarding printing at home the m-sewing patterns (pattern sheet is really big). The Adobe Acrobat Professional has the Tile option for printing, which cuts large paper sheet into smaller ones, that fit the A4 sheet format. I hope this will help.

Materials

White cotton; Thin white cotton for the lining; Purple band (around 7m); Zipper
