Description

Just a shirt I made with some left over fabric from a dress I'm making for my friend. :]

[There'll be a picture of that up here later.]

This actually gave me a bit of a struggle. I made a similar red shirt [raglan styled] and I used stretch fabric, but this just being plain cotton, it was a little more challenging. The neckline and sleeves contain encased elastic, but the arms are a little tight. Also, the shirt itself is a bit tight in the bust/back area. Other than that, it's nice, light shirt to just throw on.

Green cotton

needing to upload the pink dress!

I made this out of nonstretch material twice, and one thing I found (on the second try) was that instead of making 2 back pieces and sewing them together (why bother, unless you don't have enough fold to put both the front and back on it?) I just put the back on the fold and when I forgot to take into account the extra seam allowances I was leaving in there, it turned out that I actually got some shoulder room out of the deal. yours turned out well and I'm in love with the pattern!
