Description

So. I thought I would make my entry for the Anda Minichallenge out of a shirt after seeing all of the shirtdresses everyone made from my how-to! :D I am probably oing to try making a how-to for this one too, although you can see for yourself I think what I did! :) I cut out the pieces of the Anda pattern from a shirt and then I just sort of went from there... Cut out the back, gathered it, covered the edges with contrasting fabric, made a belt and added a ruffle to the bottom! It's great for going to the beach and for wearing in the heat down here in Greece! Hope you like it! :D

Materials

An old shirt, some old fabric

busier than she'd like to be.

love it! is that a sewn in strip in the back or bra? a strip is a good idea there to cover up a bra... and i love the belt!

    back to school

Thanks a lot for your nice comments! Yeah it's a strip exactly for that and to hold the two sides from sliding down!

The back looks so elegant! I especially love the binding around the sleeves and neck--the perfect touch.

wondering what to do with sleeves

I like how it still keeps its used-to-be-a-shirt look while it is a beautiful casual dress at the same time!

I love this, this is really fantastic. I like the lose ruffly neck with the wide shoulders. Very spunky!
