i finally got the cate pattern right. (ish.) i had to really go through the instructions & make some corrections (many thanks to lauren fortgang & juneann), and made changes to the length, gathering, lining & straps... not to mention my husband's antics...

Beautiful! I love the maxi skirts where the fabric pattern is big enought to change from top to bottom like that. Your creations have such style, Oonaballoona.
Oh my, what a lovely dress, but I really adore the fabric

Gorgeous dress!! The fabric is so very well chose! Love it!!!
wow, i couldn't believe i had so many comments when i woke up! thanks everybo-dah! the fabric is from my favorite store in arkansas, hancock's. it's a chain but this one seems to be more mom n pop. i took everything they had left on the bolt and it STILL wasn't enough for the skirt! i had to add triangular panels at the side bottoms :)
I think your dress is worth all the effort you put into it. Looks fab!
I have never seen such gorgeous fabric at hancock's! It's so great you found it, because it was made for this dress. congratulations, it's beautiful!
Wow amazing dress, that fabric is divine, it looks so good! all the unpicking was well worth it!
