I made this using the sloper pattern from this page. I lenghtened the pattern and left the darts open at the bottom back. I used beige lace for the edges and made the shirt with buttons at the front so I woudn't need a zipper. Although not intentional the top reminds me very much of Austrian Dirndl-wear (like the ladies who serve beer in the mountains ;) I like it!
(I also had to tuck in the neckline with two darts on each side because it was very wide - I'm not entirely happy with this solution and also don't know why it turned out that wide to begin with - any suggestions on how to change the neckline without using these darts??)

I think the blouse is nice and you don't have to make the nick any smaller what you could do is to make in black and white targer color
Nice blouse. Ok I'm not expert in fitting but I think the neckline gap came from your fuller bust. If they are larger than B cup, you should choose pattern according to your upper bust and alter the cup by using burda workshop. http://www.burdafashion.com/en/Service/Workshops/WorkshopTheproblem-large_bust/1000001-1487353-1227467.html
Other interesting article for neckline gaping. http://www.taunton.com/threads/pages/nmt037_08.asp?
Very nice shape
It is lovely! Those darts look intentional.
Thanks JJ for these great links...I keep having these same problems...I will try alter future patterns I work on with the help of these links
The fit is just amazing!
Your fit of your top is very nice, excellent job.
To eliminate the neckline darts you can draft them out. Copy the pattern you used, mark the location of the neckline darts, then cut the darts out of the pattern and tape the edges together. The pattern will have a little bubble where you took out the dart but that's not a problem. The portion of fabric that was contained in the darts has now been removed from your pattern :)
