A summer dress made from a pretty lavender duvet cover I got for $3.99 at the thrift shop. I honestly cannot stop scouring thrift stores for cheap fabric! I used a very easy vintage pattern I won on ebay -- Simplicity "Jiffy" series, #7520. To spice things up, I used a contrasting floral fabric for the inset. I shortened the length so I'd have a sassier, poofier skirt, but didn't do a very good job creating an even hem, so the back is visibly shorter than the front. Woops. I'm hoping maybe I'll start a trend? Anyway, if it really gets to me I'll just have to shorten the front to even out. Overall, I'm happy with the outcome of this quick and easy project.
