convertable messenger bag/backpack

Size_chart

Description

I made this bag out of an old sail. It converts from a backpack to a messenger bag by threading the strap through hidden loops (I'm rather proud of this design). I haven't put a closure on it yet because I can't decide what kind of hardware to use....suggestions?

Materials

used sail cloth, sticky fabric, used webbing, hardware

    Nearly finished with the curtains!

That is awesome! I love it. =D Perhaps a giant metal snap for the front, or a lobster claw clasp?

    Is proud of the USA

really sweet - I love everything about your bag. The lines, the color, the bird motif, the fact that it's made out of a sail - holy lord - it's perfect. PERFECT. I tried to make a convertible from scratch aswell - it ended up being to tall - so now it's just a backpack. I like the straps on the outside pocket of mine and I think it could work for your's too... check it out.
