6 Seams and 2 hems with a coverstitch or twin needle and you are on your way to the gym! The Yoga pants are ready and I couldn't be more happy with the pattern! Burda 11/2007.

I cut out a size 40 (which apparently I fit under if I take my measurements). Practically it is too large for me, so I had to take in the pants at the waist quit a little bit. Otherwise, great pattern, nice boot cut shape.
The waist band is wide and is meant to be fold over. This makes a great comfortable pant, with no constrictive elastic band, very easy to sew!
I totally recommend this pattern and will definitely sew it again!

oh they look super comfy and great on you! I think I have this issue, maybe I sew them too, when I find the right fabric for it. thanks for the tip wit the fitting!
I love the color you picked. Good fit. Great photos.
I'm on the mission to upload a culottes pattern just like this too! I got 7 seams though. 2 sides, 2 inseams, 1 crotch, 1 to make the waist band circle, and one for attaching waistband to culottes.
Thanks girls! JJ you are right! I forgot about the seam to do the circle waistband :)
They look great. I am still scare to sew elastic fabrics! What do you mean with a coverstich or twin needle? My english is not to good when it is related to sewing terms ;-)
Your pants look great indeed! You make me feel I need to sew them, too. Great photos also.
Looks so confy!! And now I remember that I have this issue!! nice to see yours! And very well made!
I love your actions shots! I hated the folded waistband when I made these, though - I think they're much more comfortable if you halve the waistband and not fold it... :)
great pants and photos
manati: the coverstitch or the twin needle seam is for the hems, when you fold over the fabric towards the inside and on the front you have two parallel stitches while on the back there is a zig-zag so the seam is elastic and it doesn't break when you stretch the fabric. It can be done on any zig zag machine by stitching straight with a special needle (twin needle).

The coverstitch is available on special machines like the serger or overlock or there are machines for coverstitch only. If you look at the hems on any store bought TShirt that's what it is.
squirrellypoo: to make the waist band was easy and with thin fabrics I like it fold over, halving it would work just as well, reducing the bulk. Maybe I'll do that for the next pair :) Thanks for the tip!
Cute pictures!!! Love the pants, i just made some yoga pants too, need to buy some elastic to finish them off.
Well,...I think only if you find the magazine online on ebay maybe I don't think you can buy it from Burda anymore... http://www.burdafashion.com/en/Magazines/Archives/121Top122ATrousers_Pants/1270777-1463237-1564548-1564554-1564707.html
BurdaStyle has a very similar pattern: Corinne http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/show/3806 just make the waist band twice as wide and fold it over.
