This shirt has three of my favorite things going for it. Flowers, Watts Towers, and Boys.
After some encouragement and hearing how hard up the male Etsians are for gear, I am back to making men's clothes.
This t-shirt looks like it was made someone who took some artistic liberty with the basic T (and was having a bit o trouble with her serger, but in a charming way).
The screenprints are old-school homemade by me, by stretching a random light weight fabric across what used to be desk drawers but I repurposed into screen frames. The stencils were drawn in with screenfiller. The Watts Towers is a rendition by yours truly. The orchids: they are actually shadows of orchids. I had a really beautiful plant at one point, and it was casting such lovely shadows across the living room wall I traced them. And turned the tracing into a screen.
The Towers are printed on a separate piece of fabric and sewed onto the shirt, with the green shirt cut away.
Black ribbing at neck; sleeve hem serged, turned up inside out and topstitched; serged unturned hem.
I made a brother for this shirt, but it found a new home before I got its picture taken :(
