Description

I made this blouse as a part of Nikkishell's sewalong. I remained almost true to the original Susan pattern.

Materials

Red with black pinstripe cotton fabric. Self cover buttons.

    What a nice blouse! I love the striped fabric and also the buttons, they're really the finishing touch. The sleeves look nice and comfortable.

    Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments. Littleladyluxe, you can buy kits from sewing shops to make covered buttons. For the ones I made you cut out a circle of fabric and run some tiny stitches around the outside to gather the fabric around the post and then you slide a little plastic ring on to hold it in place. I think there are other types available.

    Is it bad that part of me wishes I hadn't seen this beautiful shirt? Now I want to make it, but I've got so many other projects to make! My head's going to explode!

    I love the bright red fabric you used. Although I agree with whoever else said that they would leave out the triangle at the back, it seems kind of incongrous with the reat of the top.
