Description

This top is inspired by Victorian blouses. I had little fabric to work with so I decided to alter JJ's pattern. Before cutting the fabric, I placed the front part at about 6 cm (as far as I remember) distance from the fold (calculating 2cm/per pleat and 1 cm in between each one). I cut the back in two parts adding 1,5 cm at the top border for back opening.

Materials

Turquoise shimmering silk with embroidered pleats, ruffled collar and shoulders. Hand embroidery.

    sewing summer clothes.

Very very beautiful, I can't tell at all that the pattern came from JJ blouse. So you also own embroidery skills too? You said you cut the back in two parts. Did you still keep the princess seams? If not, did you make any new back darts?

Hi Helene! You left us all breathless with this blouse. I like the way you played with the pleats. Before I read your comment on the blouse, I thought that embroidery on the central front part was original fabric's ornament. Ruffled collar and sleeves are beautiful details. Bravo!
