I made this shirt for my boyfriend using the AMAZING "Shirtmaking" book by David Page Coffin as my guide. I also drafted my own sleeve placket according to his instructions and flat felled all the seams. I've documented all of this (with loads more photos) at http://www.fehrtrade.com/gallery/115/i-love-a-man-in-yellow
If anyone is dithering about sizing, James buys size 15 1/2 dress shirts and a size 52 here fit him PERFECTLY!

it looks perfect!great job!!it's a wonderful present! ,,is that in the picture your garden???i love that place!:)
amazing! very professional work!
Elo.m - the photos are taken on the garden barge next to our boat (which is why the wire handrails are there). We live on the Thames and we walk across these barges with gardens on top (and flats down below) to get to our boats! Luckily there's a gardener who takes care of them for us, though, because the plants are 100000% better than I could ever do! :)
Yes, very professional. I love your detailing and the contrasting buttons.
Like always, great job! I try to make this shirt for my husband but he tells me that's the collar was too much 70's style. But your collar is perfect, so did you make some altarations on the collar?
toupinette - no, I didn't change the collar at all. Though if he doesn't like the shape, it's really easy to just draw in a new shape...
Go the black buttons!
