First of all: I don´t want to copy squirrellypoo´s Glastenburry dress!
Everytime when I was at IKEA, I saw this cool fabric and I thought "Why can´t it be a normal fabric?! Why it is a shower curtain?" And some day I saw it at the repository(?) for half the price. And so I must take it with me ;)!
I used the pattern from Burda Moden Maganzin 5/2007 number 124C, cause I sewed a dress for my sister with this pattern (pics come later).
I add a cotton lining for more wearing comfort. The shower curtain is to 50% cotton and to 50 % poleyster. So not a normal one. Feels like a normal fabric, but it has a coating for keep away the water, so I feel better with a cotton lining.
I modified the pleats, I sewed them about 10 cm on the dress, I think it looked better on me this way. I also cross the straps
I make a bag too. I was inspired by the bag patterns from ottobre design.
