This dress was made for my sister (sort of a birthday gift to her). I extended the body pattern about 19 inches from the waist and added about 9 inches for the ruffled hem. I added 2 inches on the sleeves as well for more coverage.

So cool! I really like the ruffle as the hem - mimics the sleeves and makes it feminine.
i really like this fabric! do you have any tips for working with chiffon? i always have such a hard time with it.
I like the ruffle and fabric as well! And the longer sleeves, too, it looks more... harmonic?
Thanks! I wanted to make a "girly dress" for my sister. The ruffles add to the length without making it too wide at the bottom. I found the original sleeves too short :) ELAINEMAY: I used french seams on the chiffon, this will make it easier to finish off the dress. For this dress, I placed lining on all the parts except the sleeves and the ruffled hem so the difficult seams are closed off inside. I hope this helps :)
Beautiful fabric!
