This circle skirt is so basic that the unexperienced novice (me) could make it up and use no pattern.
The full circle teamed with a yoke waistband makes it very flattering for broad hips, and the faux wrap-around front gives the skirt movement and adds interest while preserving modesty. Since I used a heavy fabric, I have experienced none of the feared Marilyn-Monroe-at-the-subway episodes that is usually an issue for me, the militant skirt-wearer.
I'd post a pattern for it, but I don't understand this site nearly well enough to try.

That is the coolest fabric! Using it in a circle skirt is a perfect way to show it off. Looks great!
Great fabric and great skirt!
this is pretty fresh!! i a huge fan of circle skirts ( since it dominates 90% of my closet) and this is so cute. i would rock this with a light petticoat underneath. but only cause in my mind im in the 50s. lol :)
how long did it take you to make the skirt?
I really like this fabric! It looks great on the circle skirt, too.
I'm all 50's too, Bella. In effective sewing time, I do not know how long it took... I sat up from 10 pm to 3 am, but if I had done it with concentration and while being awake, I guess it would have taken me an hour or two.
its totally awesome. if you have some left over fabric it would be great as a bow for the hair. or as trim on a black clutch. OH and if you wear kitten heels and a red top.. perfect..ok let me stop...im od-ing on 50s..( maybe its cause i got teo 1957 reissued pattens in the mail woo hoo )
