Description

I made this for one of my nephews. I embroidered the fish and then cut them out to use as appliqué pieces on this little piece of Japanese fabric.

Materials

Embroidery silks, small bits of fabric from my stash, The background fabric was from an amazing store in Wellington New Zealand that sells kimonos, ceramics and fabric from Japan.

Credits

Kingyo: The Artistry of Japanese Goldfish, by Kazuya Takaoka and Sachiko Kuru.
This book and the Japanese fabric inspired me to do this wall hanging.
