When I found this fabric (beautiful fairly thin, 100% wool crepe) in the end of winter sale, I knew immediately what it had to be: a classic blazer, with all the difficult details in place. It's the first time I tried drafting a lapel collar, and it's didn't work out the first time I tried. After I made a muslin and showed it in my sewing course, we all agreed I shouldn't do back vents or welt pockets because those would ruin the line of the jacket. So I made these pockets with their flaps cut with the front side panel. The collar and bound bound buttonhole required quite a bit of attention to sew, but worked out well. I'm really happy with the result, even though I'll probably have to wait till the end of September to wear it.
