I made this shirt a few weeks ago (when spring, let alone summer, hadn't quite arrived in Holland yet). It's fairly straightforward: a princess seamed fitted shirt (made from my own pattern). However, I made french cuffs because I wanted to use the cufflinks I found in one of the old button jars my grandmother gave me. They're normal cufflinks (wiht metal stalk and twist-thingy) but the fronts must have been damaged at some point because someone put mother-of-pearl buttons over them. At the same time, I had 'Shirtmaking' by David Page Coffin at home from the library, which made me decide to try a detachable collar. Then, summer hit, so I didn't make any collars yet, exept for this tie one, which didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it.
