This was my forest nymph costume for the Elf Fantasy Fair 2008. The skirt has a cut-off synthetic wedding dress with lots of petticoat as a base on which I've sewn countless leaves which were individually cut out of fabric. (the whole thing took me about 6 months as I also made all the accesories and the hair)

unbelievable :) this is really a great workpicece :)
omg! really unbelievable! incredible work.
wow, so much work has gone into this. Well done.
Wow, that's a lot of work! But the result looks great. I can't remember seeing you at the Fair ;) but then, I was there on Sunday (you may have been there on Saturday) and there where loads of spectacularly dressed people. I really like your idea though, most people go for historical (like I did, I posted my victorian dress here on Burdastyle last week) or clearly defined fantasy costumes. I like that you seem to have made your own story.
god, this is just great!
