Description

I challenged myself to make a dress for a wedding in about a month (while I'm working on projects for my Sewing I class at FIT). Inspired by the gold-trimmed version on Burdastyle, I found a smaller gold trim & went with a deep blue material. The shoulders were tricky, so I added darts like others have mentioned. I'm also posting a picture of my parents who came to the reception because they are just so cute (and my mom always answers my sewing questions).

Materials

Cotton fabric with a nice silky-like sheen that I found at mood (I'm still learning, so silk is a scary thought) & gold circle trim. Check out the matching Osman Tie- whoo! That was the extra credit of my challenge to myself.

Nice dress! That blue really does go so well with the gold and makes it very elegant! Looks like it was a fun wedding.
