Black Jersey Azalea

#6004 Product of Burda (29920) (11304)
Size_chart

Description

I used Azalea’s yoke pattern and cut off the top part of a long slip dress I bought more than a decade ago. Lining pattern is the same with my previous Azalea. Elastic ribbon( am not sure how to say in English) sewed on the wrong side is not horizontal. It was the most difficult part for me but horizontal ribbon like the original Azalea makes me look very fat. Photos are brightened to let you see the drapes.

Materials

linen and jersy.

    making a tunic...

I love your modification. I've always loved the neckline of the Azalea but I have always had reservations with the gathering bodice for my body type. Your version is a good compromise.

only one week left 'till I can sew.

I agree with the others, this dress looks really nice and fits you well! I really like the modification, and it looks really fancy now, which is great for black jersey.

    is about to finish Azalea

thank you for your nice comments.

amarie, yes, the neckline and armhole of this pattern is great. it fits the body perfectly, but doesn't restrict the movement. and it won't let your bra shown. you should try!!
