Simplicity 3887 top

Description

This top was way too balloony with the band at the bottom, so I ended up cutting off an inch or so (more in the front and the back) and sewing the band back on. It's not great now, but it's better.

Plus, I added cuffs to the sleeves that are meant to look like the cuffs on the JJ blouse. It's much cuter than elastic!

Materials

Cotton shirting

JJ has really thorough instructions for the sleeve cuffs -- just find the pattern for her blouse in the pattern section! Mine aren't as nice as hers; I followed her instructions in a general, haphazard way as is, unfortunately, my sewing style.

    sewing summer clothes.

I really love this top, it's on my to do list. By the way, the instruction was made by Burda company. I couldn't take the credit.
