Grey Azalea Tunic

#6004 Product of Burda (48578) (20154)

Description

After seeing some of the wonderful creations from the pattern on here, I decided to give the Azalea a go after all. Figured I'd get more mileage from it as a shirt, so I eliminated the more fitted underdress and shortened the outer layer by several inches. I also made a completely different belt, wider and cut on the bias. (The second picture is just using a random belt that cinched the waist tight enough, but that gives a more realistic view of the fabric colors/design.)

Materials

a lightweight polyester satin, a polyester microfiber-like fabric, zipper

I too have seen the kind of things people have done with the azalea dress and am very impressed; have to say, it looks like one of the best patterns burdastyle offer (in terms of fit). I really like the colour combination and the shorter version is cute. Well done :)
