I made the Tara top out of two old pillowcases that my mom had tossed into the rag bin. I was like, "Wait, I can use those!" I only had 1/2" elastic, instead of 1/4" so I couldn't fit it into the casing. So I put on my thinking cap and TADA! Contrasting bias tape! To balance out the black and add prettiness I embroidered the hem and the sleeves. I am in anticipation for warm weather so I can wear my cute summer top!

This looks really nice! You did a great job :) I don't really like the "original" Tara top, but yours looks really cute :)
Very cool! I love the stitching on the sleeves & hem. Nice job, again.
This is so pretty! You look great in it! I like the contrast of the bias tape, and the embroidery is adorable! And it's a pretty darn gorgeous recycling job! (I steal out of my mom's "get rid of" stash, too! tee-hee...... if she only knew!..........)
