Size_chart

Description

i've realized this corset for an university exam. i had to made a 1598's corset worn by Dorothea Sabina von Neuburg, pattern comes from "Patterns of Fashion, 1560-1620" Janet Arnold. i've used an heavy fabric,,there're a lot of lines of stitching which formed the casings for whalebones(synthetic),,all hand-sewn...it was hard for my hand!:) it's unwearable for our days,,it was just an exercise an it's not finished!

Materials

heavy fabric, synthetic whalebones

Credits

way too busy for loads of sewing

I think it's great! I love costume history and I think it's very courageous to sew this by hand! Did you draft the pattern yourself?

Wow. It is a great adventure you took there! It is a pity that is unwearable, cause I will be totally wearing this!
