I took some elements from Naomi pattern 6015 by Kasia 26 to create this Asian inspired hoodie. I was going to print the Naomi original pattern but I ran out of ink (50s page!) so I used Burda-nov.2007/ 126 instead. I like that the jacket has no side seams, there are only 2 pattern pieces, bodice and sleeves and that's it.
I'm disapointing that I couldn't figure it out how to make kimono sleeves out of this pattern but I'm quite happy that I could keep the overlapp center front and curve hems like the Naomi. The sewn line on upper bust was fake, I just tucked in the fabric and sew (made the armholes smaller a little bit, fixed the sleeve pattern accordingly) Please ignor the blue skirt, I was too lazy to take it off from the dress form.

This hoodie is delightful...the skirt is duly ignored. Great work on modifying this pattern.
Love this!! Wow. I like so much the belt like an obi. Great job!
This jacket is beautiful! Love it! ...Do you have any photos of the back? Excellent job!
This is beautiful! You are so talented!
Thank you so much for nicest comment. I do have a back photo but it's kind of ugly. I feel like it's a turn off so I didn't upload it but as you as for it, why not?
Oh JJ I really love this jacket. I have already 3 jackets in my sewing plan and now I want to make this too... I think the skirt fits perfectly with it. It is the same microsuede on the yoke, isn't it? It has really the Asian elegant chic.
this is super bellissimo!! I love the belt, the closing, the hood, everything
that is so beautiful, I laughed when I saw the blue skirt... I know the lazy feeling... Great job!
You've done it again JJ! Another gorgeous creation :-) I haven't got all the pieces of naomi togther yet...65 pages is hard work! I love the hood on your jacket (I'm a hoodie girl) so I might have to add on to the Naomi. Great work, very inspiring! Tauken
This jacket is beautiful! Great work! Is there any way you would post a how-to?
I thank you! I could post a how-to but you have to have the Burda magazine issue 11-2007 to start with.
I really it like! It looks great =)
So awesome! I wish I was this talented!
LOVE THIS!!!!
It is great JJ! I love this version. The hood is a great idea and the lining maches great the style of the jacket. Love the belt as well. I am working on the light, BurdaStyle version right now, but I might do something simillar to yours for next fall. (I just have a spring/summer fever right now)
