I wasn't too sure whether to post this or not. I guess I can get away with it posting it here under costumes. After all, it's about the creations not about the weird people wearing them, isn't it? ;)

A couple of years ago the Burda magazine used to feature patterns to readers designs. IIRC this is from a 2001 issue.

Materials

Pink baby corduroy and fuchsia fun fur.

Since my arms were rather pale I made some sleeves out of cow-y tights.

Before you ask: No that's not my natural build. Especially the bottom is the result of cunning cushioning. ;)

I like the fuchsia fur! It adds a vibrant and nice touch!

Thank you! Hmmm, I'm not too sure whether "nice touch" is the right phrase. To me it always felt more like "nice slap in the face" ;)

I love to see something different on this website. Your creations are unusual, but full of inspiration. I'll say you are the couture of BurdaStyle. As with couture, we don't wear it everyday, but get ideas and apply them to "regular stuff". Keep on creating! I enjoy all you projects a lot.

lilo, i think stresemann meant he thought the pink fur--not the comment--was a "nice slap in the face", yes? as in a bodacious hel-lo to those watching along the sidelines? like a double shot of pink furry espresso... mmm... espresso... (leaves computer in search of coffee)

Absolutely, oonaballona, that's what I meant. Should anyone feel misunderstood or face-slapped, my sincere apologies. Thanks for the compliment on my CB, though I'm quite happy it's detachable ;)

Thanks Kasia, couture sounds rather grand, I'm nearly blushing.

I'm actually quite conservative when it comes to my day to day wardrobe. But sometimes I like a bit of fun, and a shared laugh is even better.
