Description

This is my knockoff of the J. Crew Fiona jacket (with a slight yoke variation). I used Simplicity 3538, modifying the collar and adding sleeve bands. This hasn't had its final press yet, but trust me, the sleeves do sit properly despite the photos! I'll also be adding the pockets later this week, but had to take the pictures while the sunshine lasted this week...

Materials

White cotton bottom-weight, organza for sew-in interfacing, lining fabric, buttons and bias tape.

Gotta love that Michigan sun! I took this just after realizing there may not be any more this week...

Just for fun, I would've loved to have re-created the J. Crew photo shoot with my jacket, but it was just me at home with the mannequin. ;)

That's adorable! I just have to tell you too that I'm in the Lansing area, Dansville to be exact! Gotta love that 8 inches of snow this weekend! Where do you get your fabric? Just Joann's, or are there other places?

BRAVO! It is very very nice! I was looking at those J Crew jackets, so freaking expensive! Very feminine and pretty!
