My Roland Mouret Galaxy Dress

Size_chart

Description

This is my Roland Mouret Galaxy Dress. I am so pleased with this dress, it couldn't have turn out better. I have always loved the Galaxy dress but could never afford to buy one, I still can't believe I have managed to make it!!! It has taken me just over a day to make and there was lots of hand sewing involved but i got there, it was rather big when i made it so i took it in and i may have took it in a little too much, i will just have to not eat when i'm wearing it. I bought this pattern from the Vogue website when they had a sale a few weeks ago, it was only $5!!!! Pattern number V8280.

Materials

Navy pinstripe cotton

way too busy for loads of sewing

Looks great! I've loved this pattern since I saw it, but I've never been quite sure it would work with my bony cleavage, so I couldn't justify buying it at about 12 euros ;) but it looks great on you and I can hardly believe you made it so quick.

WOW!!! Thankyou all so much for your lovely comments, i wore this dress today at work and i felt fab in it! I think everyone should make one!!!! i'm thinking of making another one but without the sleeves, so watch this space!! Jelly bean - I know i can't believe it either, i have only been sewing since christmas and i am self taught, i can see the improvement every time i make something, some things it takes me a while to figure out, but i get there in the end.
