    wow i love this! if you weren't on the other side of the world id ask you to make me one! ive got some fabric that i want to make into a jacket but im finding it hard to draft my own pattern. any tips? x

    Wow, thanks for all your encouraging comments! I'd be happy to upload the pattern except I don't know how to because it was drafted by hand on newspaper.

    I didn't use a drafting block for this because I haven't worked out how to draft raglan sleeves yet. The basic lines were traced off a raglan-sleeve sweatshirt. Then adjustments were made to accommodate a front opening, wider sleeves (because I have chubby upper arms), and a wider neckline (because I didn't want the collar to be up against my neck).

    @Casey: I've found "Dorothy Moore's Pattern Drafting and Dressmaking" to be an easy-to-follow book on how to draft blocks using your body measurements, and how to use those blocks to make suit and dress patterns. It was printed in the 70s but the techniques are still used today. You can buy a copy off ebay or amazon (mine was $15).
