I had the Malissa pattern printed and waiting for the right kind of fabric. Then I came across a winter sale/store closing and found some very cheap oversized scarfs. I thought of using them for the project. It took three scarfs to make a full length version, however when I put the dress on it looked very heavy at the bottom. I ended up cutting it to make a top. While cutting the collar I saved the original fringe at the edge and used it for a little extra detail. I also changed the sleeves and made them bell shape.
Malissa dress was very easy to make. It can be done in couple hrs.
