Part of the "Sometimes you want to be a peacock" collection that I did in the spring of 2007 when I studied pattern construction at Tillskärarakademin in Göteborg.
I wove the fabric when I studied weaving at Gamleby Folkhögskola. I love orange and when I found orange silk at reduced price I bought it and decided to make something beautiful from it.
I've made countless versions of the sleeve, but in the end they worked very well, although I changed my original idea slightly.
The only problem with it is that the sleeves are very tight, not much movement for the arms.

Nothing wrong with occasionally wanting to be a peacock, right ;) However, I have to say, with this top it's the shape I like most of all. The princess seams that line up with raglan sleeves, and then those nice pleats at the sleeve head... Love it!
It is really a beautiful silhouette. I love it too. And the fabric is amazing!
Oh, it's so beautiful! But what's even more important for me, I've wanted to make something basically like this - the seams are the same on my draft, just the sleeves aren't puffed... What a coincidence!
i love it too, love both the shape and the fabric.
Great job! Beautiful combination of shape and fabric! Lovely sleeves!
Very beautiful. I love the colors!
Love the piped cap sleeve with pleats instead of gathers, side zipper, and beautiful neckline. Creative princess seaming. This blouse is feminine yet tailored. Great job!
Its lovely, Which pattern did you use?
Stunning! I love the pattern.... do you draft it yourself? If so, please share it with us!
I like this top so much myself and it makes me so happy that you like it as well. I did make the pattern myself. When I have time I'll share it with you. But I'm warning you, I always have too much to do.
this is really cool, the contrast piping is a great detail.
