2 years ago, as a Graphic Designer member of AIGA, I received an invitation to participate in a Paper Fashion Show. This way I could show my talent to combine Graphic Design and Fashion Design. My theme design was Turkish culture, customs. I had to make the dress from paper and to be wearable by a model on the stage. The assigned material was white Porcelain paper, in various weights. To put it together I used glue, not needle and thread. For this project I was designer, make-up artist, coreographer and model. I enjoyed this project. It was something different and unique. Who knows, maybe in the future, the disposable paper dress will be as common as the disposable paper plates… But this is so far the first dress I designed, made and wear.
