My first skirt is an Alexis!

#7945 Product of Burda (11569) (206) $1.50
Buy_pattern_pdf Size_chart

Description

This is the first skirt - the first cloth - I ever sewed. The lining is horrible, so I don't show you (nearly got crazy) ;) I can proudly say that I ignored the swatch completely, maybe next time. But I'm really confident and proud of it! It'll feel so good to walk in the streets with clothes I sewed on my own! Excuse my bad photos, but I'm so excited posting my first skirt ;) There will be better photos when I'll show you the matching Steffi-jacket! Of course I shortened the pattern and added a slit so that I'll be able to walk.

Edit: I added some high-quality pictures ;)

Materials

wool plaid in dark blue-green

I love it! The fit is great, and while you said the lining isn't great, the outside is finished nicely! I'd certainly wear it.

It looks very nice, much better than the Alexis I'm currently struggling with. I can't wait to see the Steffi jacket you make. That is my next project I think. Wonderful job!

Thank you for your nice comments. Sewing is so much fun, especially when other people like the creations, too! :)

Kimmysue: Keep on struggling ;) In the end your Alexis skirt will look great, I think!

Oh awesome, I'm sewing an Alexis in a similar print but it's not wool. Yours looks great! I'll have to do a wool one too.
