Ahm. Might not be the right sort of dress for me to use, since I have a wide chest carriage, slimmer hips and a couple of pound to many. Especially not with another two layers of shirts underneath. Even so, I chose this pattern because I needed my first dress to be easy to make.
The reason the tartan pattern is not matched together is not only that I was lazy, but that I bought a very cheap left-over piece of fabric (in good quality, might I add), that was barely large enough for this. Valid excuse! :D
BUT. Things aside, I'm over all pleased with this dress. Feels good to have made something actually useable, instead of cosplay clothes, haha!

I don't think you look like your carrying too many pounds! The dress looks good and I love the blouse underneath. You should feel very proud of your first dress. Well done.
You should'nt be too harsh with you. I think Zoe looks really good on you and you did a fine job :) Also know the problem with slim hips.
Littlebutton: It's just a bit of a pot-belly, conveniently not very visible in a non-profile view. Nothing that wouldn't go off if I just quit the afternoon tea. :) Polychromatin: Good thing about slim hips is, it might be easier to find trousers, or... something... :D ~ Thank you both for your kind words, it's brightened me up! I shall be proud of Peachy Zoe I.
We are who we are, don't be too hard on yourself. The dress looks great and you look great in it. Nice job.
It's cute!! And you MUST post pics of your cosplay costumes!
I love it with the tartan fabric! It adds a cool schoolgirl touch to the dress. By the way, thanks for your nice comment on my ensemble!
