flannel celestina

#7939 Product of Burda (14245) (4084)
Size_chart

Description

i don't know what possessed me to make a dress our of flannel. maybe i was in a christmas fog... but it sure is comfortable.

next time i think i'd make the tie belt in back longer so i could wrap it round the front as well. i also screwed up the arms (AGAIN), so they came out a bit poofy at the shoulders. since i am a bit poofy, this worked out well...

Materials

kid's cotton flannel

    reconsidering summer sewing plans

I recognise the silhouet of a Celestina everywhere ;) and I think yours looks pretty great with that tiny flower print.

So do I, Lauriana! :-) It's beautiful! And the flannel creates a nice shape. ;-)

    making next summer dress

I like the fabric and colour you used for your Celestina. Next to it, it fit you perfect. Great done.

    cuffs, buttonholes, hem (finally!)

Nice job. Looks dressy but actually you could take a nap while wearing it.

I DO like Burda's shirt patterns

I really like the shape of this dress. I like the sleeves and how the skirt flares out a little, it is very pretty and the fabric is nice too. Did you use a cotton flannel?
